Soft Cornice Installation Tips

When you’re ready to install your soft fabric cornice kit design above your window, always verify the required hardware was included in the kit.  Make sure you’ve opened, locked & secured the “Return’s” sides.  Place the (2) L-Brackets above the window and screw into the wall.  Place your “Return” over the top of the (2) secured L-Brackets.  Screw the “Return” onto the L-Brackets.  Now place your soft fabric over the “Return”.  This will connect the inserts and magnetic enclosures, locking your design into place.   Click the video to see just how quick and easy it is to switch out your fabric designs!  Could it get any easier!

Hard Cornice Installation Tips

Studio E Décor realizes the kit is the easy part, but whose going to install the kit around the window once it’s been decorated? Well don’t worry, we’ve included installation instructions and we strongly encourage you to work with a partner. (A & B partners)

Process

 

 

1. Now that your cornice kit is assembled and ready for installation, confirm you have in your hardware packet, your 2 L-Brackets and the required screws. Also, check that you have a screwdriver and a ladder.
2. Have partner A hold the ladder while partner B places the 2 L-Brackets above the window. (see picture)
3. Check to verify the 2 L-Brackets are evenly spaced apart above the window.
4. Partner B installs the 2 L-Brackets above the window by screwing against the wall and tightening to a snug fit. (see picture)
5. Partner A hands the finished cornice board kit to Partner B to place over the top of the 2 L-Brackets.
6. Partner A checks and confirms cornice board kit is centered above window.
7. Partner B drives the screws in to the 2 L-Brackets holes and into the 6” Return of the cornice board kit to ensure it is secure. (see picture)
8. The installation is now complete! Now step back and check out your new custom design!
